Frequently Asked Questions

FOR SELLERS

Seller Protection

When someone buys your item on Tack Box, we hold the payment until either the buyer confirms receipt or three (3) days after the item is marked as delivered — whichever comes first. Once that happens, the funds move from Pending to Available, and you can withdraw them, provided your banking information has been set up correctly.

If there is a dispute regarding the condition of the item, we will review the matter through our dispute resolution process.

Delivery is generally considered complete when the carrier’s tracking information shows the package as delivered, subject to review in cases of suspected carrier error or fraud.

Keeping all communication within the app helps protect both buyers and sellers. Payments are processed securely through our payment providers.

How Do I Get Paid?

After your item is sold, the payment will appear in your Seller Dashboard. Funds move from Pending to Available either when the buyer confirms receipt or automatically three (3) days after delivery.

Once the funds are available, you can withdraw them, provided your banking information has been entered correctly.

What Fees Apply?

A service fee of 20% of the sale price is deducted from each sale to cover payment processing, platform maintenance, and operating costs.

How Should I Pack My Item?

Please ensure your item is packaged securely for shipping. Use sturdy packaging materials, adequate padding, and secure sealing. Attach a clear shipping label and provide tracking so both you and the buyer can monitor delivery.

Listing & Managing Items

• You may bundle multiple products together in a single listing.

• You may relist items that did not sell.

• You may remove listings at any time prior to sale.

• If a buyer requests additional photos, you may send them through the app.

• Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their items and disclosing any defects, damage, or signs of wear.

• If tracking shows an item was delivered but the buyer reports it was not received, we will review the tracking information and any additional evidence available.

Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated based on the seller’s chosen carrier and shipping rates, as well as the buyer’s location at checkout.

Disputes & Refunds

If a buyer initiates a dispute, we will guide both parties through the dispute resolution process.

Sellers may be required to issue a refund if agreed upon by both parties or if determined necessary following dispute review.

Cashing Out

• You must meet the legal age requirements in your jurisdiction to receive payouts.

• We may require identity verification and supporting documentation to comply with applicable financial regulations.

• Once a withdrawal request is submitted, processing may take several business days before the funds appear in your bank account.

• You may update your banking information within your account settings.

• If you do not receive your payout, please verify your banking information and check for any account holds or verification requirements.

Prohibited Items

Certain items may not be listed for sale on Tack Box, including counterfeit goods, stolen property, prohibited substances, recalled products, or any item that violates applicable laws and regulations.

FOR BUYERS

Trial & Refunds (for Saddles or Applicable Items)

Some sellers may offer a trial period by selecting “Accept Returns” when creating their listing.

• The trial period is typically five (5) days from the date the item is delivered.

• Return shipping must be initiated before the end of the trial period.

• Buyers must communicate with the seller regarding return shipping arrangements, including the return address and carrier.

• Additional fees may apply when using certain payment plans.

• International saddle sales and other international transactions may not qualify for a trial period and are often considered final sale.

• Return shipping costs are generally the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed upon.

• Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received to qualify for a full refund. Buyers are encouraged to use insurance and signature confirmation when returning items.

Buyer Protection

Buyers may be eligible for a full refund if an item never ships, arrives damaged, or is significantly different from its description, subject to review through our dispute process.

To remain eligible for buyer protection, all payments and communications must remain within the Tack Box platform.

After delivery, buyers have three (3) days to open a dispute regarding an issue with their purchase.

Payment Security

Your payment information is protected using industry-standard security measures. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant providers.

Refund Policy

If an item arrives damaged or is significantly different from its description, buyers may be eligible for a full refund upon return of the item, or may negotiate a partial refund directly with the seller.

To begin the process, open a dispute through the order page by selecting “Not Satisfied” and provide details regarding the issue.

Disputes must be submitted within three (3) days of delivery.

Some listings may be marked as final sale and may not be eligible for returns or exchanges. Buyers should review the seller’s return policy before purchasing.

Making a Purchase / Payment Methods

When you find an item you would like to purchase, simply follow the checkout prompts.

Accepted payment methods may include major credit cards, debit cards, and other supported payment services, depending on your region.

If a payment attempt fails, you will receive instructions to help resolve the issue, such as verifying your payment details or checking available funds.

If an Order Never Ships / Other Problems Arise

If a seller accepts your order but does not ship the item, you may open a dispute through the platform.

We monitor tracking information and transaction status to help facilitate fair resolutions when issues arise.
